Low-cost carrier flydubai has commenced operations to Basel, the first UAE airline to so do. The airline is also to venture into the Baltic with direct services to Riga, Latvia starting October 11 and to Tallinn, Estonia the following day. These flights will be worked from Dubai International Airport (DXB), while the Basel administration service will work four timrana week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Emirates will code share on the Basel route and so the passengers will have more transfer flights through the Dubai aviation connection. Besides, flydubai has planned a new Iran route, with the Basle flier being followed by direct flights to Kish Island and Kerman in September the next year. Basel has flights that begin at above Dhs 1,115 for one-way and the bookings are open now. It is projected that as flydubai incorporates more routes, the flying passengers will be able to discover other parts of Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
