Hamdan bin Mohammed Approves Key Policies to Elevate Life in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin David Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council has given go-ahead to a set of game changing policies intended for bettering the public wellbeing and facilitating long term development goals of Dubai under Dubai Social Agenda 33 and Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

At a meeting of The Executive Council at Emirates Towers, Sheikh Hamdan announced new policies in areas of health care, Emirati student world, family welfare and smart buildings. The meeting was attended, among others, by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed.

“Under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum we put people at the center of Dubai’s development plans” said Sheikh Hamdan. “Our policies aim to provide real, people centered results that would guarantee a sustainable and inclusive future”.

Expanded Healthcare Network by 2033
Dubai is to establish three new hospitals, 33 primary healthcare centres and various medical hubs by the year 2033 under the prompt of the Dubai Health Authority. Services will venture to developing areas like Al Yalayis, Al Awir and Hind city. The initiative will lead to capture of investment through public-private partnership and increased mental health coverage and medical scholarships to Emirati doctors.

Empowering Emirati Students
A new education policy by Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) will ensure that 100% of Emirati students studying in ‘Good’ or better-quality private schools are equipped to continue their studies at University or Leadership/Managerial position level. It involves curriculum improvement more Emirati teachers and customized education model that fits into Dubai Education Strategy 2033.

Unified Family Care Services
The Unified Centre for Family Care which is managed by the Community Development Authority will deliver integrated services of child protection, custody management and family counselling through two centres in Deira and Bur Dubai, enriched by digital tools.
