Ramadan in Dubai 2025: Dates, Working Hours & Key Highlights

During Ramadan Dubai welcomes people to become more spiritual as they participate in community activities. Throughout the month the city becomes more relaxed with shorter workdays and various special events happen across Dubai.

When Will Ramadan Begin?
The beginning of Ramadan 2025 will occur on Saturday March 1 if moon observation indicates. The holy period lasts between 29 and 30 days leading to Eid Al Fitr which will be celebrated on March 30 or 31.

Ramadan Traditions in Dubai
The day brings Muslims the obligation to fast between dawn and sunset along with two critical meals consisting of iftar when the fast ends and suhoor before fasting begins. Hotels along with restaurants across the city provide unique events for suhoor and iftar meals that welcome families with friends.

Working Hours & School Timings
Private sector: Reduced by two hours daily.
Public sector officials will release Ramadan working hours in the near future before the start of this holy season.
Schools: Maximum five-hour school days.
Markets & Community Events
Ramadan District: One of the biggest seasonal markets in Dubai.
The evening markets present decorations alongside jewelry and food items for sale.
The community has numerous charitable programs where people can make donations during Ramadan.
Changes to City Life
Malls & attractions: Extended evening hours.
Parking: Free public parking in some areas for iftar and suhoor.
Salik tolls: Special Ramadan pricing.
Eid Al Fitr 2025
The post-Ramadan holiday Eid Al Fitr brings a four or five-day public break for residents of Dubai.
