Authorities have shared the exact timings to help residents prepare for one of the most important Islamic celebrations, while also ensuring smooth organisation and safety across the country.
Eid prayer timings across the UAE
The confirmed Eid prayer timings are as follows:
| Emirate | Eid Prayer Time |
|---|---|
| Abu Dhabi | 6:20am |
| Dubai | 6:18am |
| Sharjah | 6:16am |
| Ajman | 6:16am |
| Umm Al Quwain | 6:12am |
| Ras Al Khaimah | 6:12am |
| Fujairah | 6:10am |
These early morning timings align with traditional Eid practices, allowing worshippers to gather shortly after sunrise.
Prayers to be held in mosques only
According to General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, Eid prayers will take place only in approved mosques across the UAE.
Unlike previous years, open-air prayer grounds will not be used, as part of measures to ensure safety, proper organisation and a smooth flow of worshippers.
Safety and organisation remain a priority
Officials highlighted that the decision is aimed at maintaining public safety and ensuring that large gatherings are managed efficiently.
Preparations are already underway across mosques in cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to accommodate worshippers comfortably during the Eid prayers.
Eid date subject to moon sighting
While prayer timings have been confirmed, the exact first day of Eid Al Fitr will depend on the official moon sighting.
Authorities stated that the moon-sighting committee will meet after Maghrib prayer, and Eid is expected to fall on Thursday or Friday, depending on the visibility of the Shawwal crescent.
A unified Eid celebration across the UAE
With clear timings and organised arrangements, the UAE is ensuring a coordinated and safe celebration of Eid Al Fitr across all emirates.
Residents are encouraged to arrive early, follow mosque guidelines and celebrate responsibly with their families and communities.
