During his visit to IDEX 2025’s 17th edition His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum the Crown Prince of Dubai officially confirmed the UAE’s strong dedication to enhance its defence field. This year marks the largest IDEX event with its biggest attendance of top defense companies and military officials along with industry leaders.
Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the UAE’s advancement in defense technologies while following the leadership’s plan to boost key strategic sectors during his exploration of the exhibition. Sheikh Hamdan stressed that having a sturdy defence industry serves as an essential element for both national growth and international protection which strengthens the country’s capacity to maintain peace and stability in the world.
During his visit Sheikh Hamdan interacted with key defence companies at their pavilions while being accompanied by senior officials that comprised Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sheikh Hamdan investigated state-of-the-art defensive technologies and equipment between the UAE’s Edge Group and CARACAL facilities as well as exploring Beretta and Kalashnikov international offerings. The missile defence systems developed by NORINCO received inspection from the visiting dignitary during China’s strong display at IDEX 2025.
