Maye Musk a model and dietitian who is a mother to Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur enthralled the Audience in the 1 Billion Followers Summit in.
Dubai. The event is held by the UAE Government Media Office from January 11 to 13, 2025, at Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future with the slogan Content for good.
During her panel, the 76-year-old model and entrepreneur shared her inspiring journey of raising three accomplished children: Elon – the current richest man on the planet, Kimbal – an owner of several restaurants, and Tosca – a TV producer. In her case, she has attributed the success of her children to the kind of parenting she deployed that focused on/independence, hard work and perseverance.
Speaking of businesspeople, Musk said she would be discussing herself and her three children: “It wasn’t easy for me as a young single mother, having left my husband Errol Musk, to support us,” she noted. Nonetheless she furthered her education intention and studied dietetics and nutritional science then established a nutrition company.
Musk at 21 was a finalist for Miss South Africa pageant in 1969 which led to years of modeling and being a brand [theorist]. In addition to modeling, she has huge social media following with more than 3.35 million followers.
Speaking to the Summit, Musk also touched on entrepreneurship since the event’s goals were to help startups and content creators gain information and funding to bring their ideas to life.
Her autobiography, appropriately entitled A Woman Makes a Plan, revisits Musk’s past, her modeling experience, fighting single motherhood, and raising strong, independent children. Her story shows how it is possible to turn information and passion into something, for instance Elon at an early age loved computers and this defined their family.
