In his capacity as the Chairman of NMO and member of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Media, HE Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Hamed has underlined the need for Gulf media to become unified and integrated due to regional and global changes. The Cairo-based Al Hamed made his comments at the 27th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Information Ministers Meeting in Doha, when he explained the need for a united Gulf media and narrowing Gulf media practices to professionalism and benchmarks.
He urged the need for the harmonization of media policies for the specific aim of raising the profile of the GCC internationally and presented several plans such as a shared information system and a research work on the likelihood of media industry under the influence of artificial intelligence. It also deliberated on improving relations with the electronic media and the implementation of the awareness plan for promoting the gulf values and identity.
