Sharjah Residents to Pay Higher SEWA Bills from April

On April 1, 2025 residents of Sharjah must expect greater SEWA (Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority) charges that will include a new sewage management service fee.

New Charges on SEWA Bills
The Sharjah Executive Council instituted an addition of 1.5 fils per gallon water usage fee into SEWA statements. The sewage management service fee does not apply to Emirati residents who reside in the area of Sharjah.

To enhance municipal services and infrastructure in the emirate authorities made this choice under the leadership of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi.

Additional Changes in Sharjah
Kalba visitors now have to pay a new parking fee for their travel to this destination. The growing expenses lead residents to search for free entertainment choices within Sharjah as a cost-saving measure.

Continue to monitor utility charge and municipal fee progressions within Sharjah.
