The physical changes in the tastable features of the new Dhs100 note include the hologram, the security thread, the see-though region on the back of the note and various other features as discussed below:
🔹 Front Design: The new note depicts Um Al Quwain National Fort as its symbol of the valuable cultural history of the UAE country.

🔹 Back Design: It has the largest seaport of Fujairah along with a picture of a train of Etihad Rail to depict that the country is developing at a very fast speed in the infrastructure sector.

🔹 Security Features: there is a KINEGRAM COLORS – multicolored printed security element, security thread, see through watermarked hologram, and Braille.

🔹 Physical Change: The new note has been produced from polymer material as opposed to the paper in the old one making it last twice as long and friendly to the environment as the paper currency.

Hopes for the Country as a Celebratory Message for the UAE
The preceding Dhs 100 note designed in 1982 had the illustration of Al Fahidi Fort and Dubai World Trade Centre. The most recent one retained the red/pink color to enhance its visibility by the public but has incorporated work that is more relevant with the country’s vision to turn green and innovative.

Nationwide Circulation in Time for Eid Al Fitr
Khaled Mohamed Balama, the Governor of the CBUAE stated that the new banknote will be released to be used along with the existing one. He focused that it complements the country’s future plans to achieve Net Zero and improving the inhabitants’ financial viability.

Banking institutions and exchange houses were ordered to adjust the bills’ counting and dispensing terminals to permit the current and the old Dhs100 notes.
