UAE Public Holidays for 2025 Announced

Dubai, UAE-The list of festivals and bank holidays for the whole of UAE for 2025 Calendar year for both the Government and private institutions has been declared. This decision which was captured under the cabinet resolution no. 27 of 2024, was gazetted and the regulations will come into force from January 1,2025.

It is based on the assessment of several legal provisions, local laws, statutes, rules, regulations, ordinances, orders, circulars, notifications, and policies namely the UAE Constitution, Federal Law No. 11 of 2017 On Cabinet Competencies, Federal Law No. 33 of 2021 on Labour Relations, Federal Law No. 49 of 2022 on The Federal Government Human Resources, The Resolution No. 27 of

This coordination of the holidays in both sectors indicates the UAE’s determination to preserve and develop a standard national working calendar, improve people’s work-life ratios, and provide citizens and residents with opportunities to prepare their schedules and time off appropriately.

To abide by the federal law, specific holidays for 2025 year are below, to help businesses, government offices and educational institutions for planning annual calendar. The holidays will provide numerous occasions that will enable both the sectors in embracing the various national, cultural, and religious festivities thereby helping to improve togetherness in all the nations.
