UAE to Launch First National Agricultural Museum Celebrating Farming Heritage

The launch of the National Agricultural Museum in the UAE will celebrate the nation’s important farming history. The UAE Agricultural Exhibition, organized for May 28 to 31 at the Adnec Centre in Al Ain, was the reason for the early announcement.

As an interactive educational place, the museum uses advanced technology and storytelling to cover the UAE’s agricultural history, from its beginnings before the union to its recent progress powered by new ideas. Dr Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, made the announcement of the initiative.

The exact place has not been revealed yet, but the museum will pay tribute to people such as the late Sheikh Zayed, whose first steps in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi and Saadiyat Island in 1968 led to the country’s agricultural growth.

The museum will inspire people in the future and highlight the resilience of the UAE’s agricultural sector, Dr Al Dahak noted.

Important Features of the Exhibition
More than 100 Emirati farmers who rely on modern farming technology will introduce their latest innovations.

Agriculture Youth Council of the UAE is being launched in cooperation with the Federal Youth Authority.

With over 22 public sector offices, 60+ private businesses, 4 universities and 1,000+ students gathered in its 20,000 sq m space.

Local grown goods, Emirati honey and marketing opportunities from other countries were displayed at a Farmers’ Exhibition.

With the theme ‘With agriculture, we thrive and the world thrives,’ the event backs the National Food Security Strategy 2051 by driving innovation, sustainability and independence in agriculture here.
