UAE Expands Visa-On-Arrival for Indian Nationals to Six More Countries

Indian nationals seeking entry in the UAE through a visa-on-arrival system now qualify after demonstrating valid residency permits visa or Green Cards from six extra nations including Singapore Japan South Korea Australia New Zealand and Canada.

New Eligible Countries (Effective February 13, 2025)

  • Singapore
  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Canada

Before this change took place Indian residents could get visa-on-arrival service only when they had residency or visa authorization from the United States, European Union, or the United Kingdom.

Why This Matters
According to the Federal Authority for Identity Citizenship Customs and Port Security the decision stems from UAE-India relationship strength and targets:
✅ Boost tourism
✅ Attract skilled professionals & entrepreneurs
✅ Enhance the UAE’s global connectivity

Travelers applying for this entry require valid passports with six-month validity along with payment of fees at the point of arrival.

By expanding this program the United Arab Emirates advances its status as a global transport center and provides Indian nationals with enhanced travel convenience.
