UAE Weather Update: Fog, Rain, and Strong Winds Until January 21

There are weather warnings now up for fog, rain, and high winds which is to cover residents of the UAE over the next several days, as posted by the UAE National Metrology Centre. The expected weather for the period January 17 to January 21 are moderate, but require certain precautions particularly during the early morning fog and during the wind storms.

Saturday, January 18

Conditions: Partly cloudy with tendency to rain over coastal, northern and eastern provinces; humid morning over internal provinces.
Winds: Northwesterly winds gusting with dust at 25 to 40 kilometers per hour.
Sea: Rough in Arabian gulf; Slight to moderate occasionally rough in Oman sea.
Sunday, January 19

Conditions: It will be misty over the internal areas during the humid morning and light rain over the northern and eastern parts of the State.
Winds: Moderate northwesterly, tending fresh to 40 km at the coast in the south.
Sea: In the morning predominantly rough gradually decreasing to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
Monday, January 20

Conditions: There will be fog and mist possibly in the early morning then we will have fair to partly cloudy conditions.
Winds: Moderate northwesterly light to moderate occasionally fresh at speeds not exceeding 40 km/h.
Sea: Moderate to high in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
Tuesday, January 21

Conditions: Partly cloudy to cloudy in the north during the morning while the rest of the country will be humid.
Winds: New to force 3 and 4 northwesters with blowing dust and sand, gusts to 50 km/h.
Sea: Moderate to even strong in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Oman Sea.
Citizens are asked to be cautious at periods when there is fog and windy, as well as be aware of changes in weather for safety in movement and physical activities.
