China Successfully Launches Test Satellite for Internet Technology

A Chinese test satellite operates to develop satellite internet technology. The satellite launch initiative of April 1, 2025 involved Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre’s northwest sector where the mission began at 12:00 PM Beijing Time.

The satellite executed its space journey after a Long March 2D rocket launch and achieved its designated orbital position. The mission functions to evaluate mobile-to-satellite broadband transmission while working on improving linkages between space and ground networks.

China continues to strengthen its next-generation satellite communication technology development through its 567th space launch with the Long March rocket series.
