UAE Flights Unaffected by Germany Airport Closure

German flights continued normally to and from the UAE after a short-term shutdown at its Munich airport on Saturday, two UAE airlines told the Khaleej Times.

The officials of Dubai-based Emirates and Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways were also sure that the flights operated on time, and none of the flights had any delays or change of course.

An occurrence of the protest against the climate change was displayed when activists somehow grabbed themselves to the taxi ways of Munich International Airport and there was temporary closure of the airport, due to security reasons. Some flights were either cancelled or given alternative routes from the reported that were never used.

The water department supervisor confirmed the airport had been pretty messy, with hustle and bustle, but things were back to normal before long enough. In about 2 hours one of the two runways were reopened coming after one hour later the second runway opened.

In the middle of the hectic holiday season the city Airport found itself on the list of events. Following the incident eight climate activists were arrested. An unaffiliated group Last Generation, famous for similar actions in the past, assumed liability for the disruption with posts on X indicating their group members on likely runways or tarmacs holding protest symbols.
