Dubai: The UAE Eid Al Fitr 2026 holidays have officially been confirmed for federal and private sector employees, giving residents clarity to plan travel, family gatherings and festive celebrations.
Official Eid Al Fitr 2026 Holiday Dates in the UAE
According to announcements from the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation:
Federal Government Employees
Holiday: Thursday, March 19 to Sunday, March 22, 2026
Work resumes: Monday, March 23
Private Sector Employees
Holiday: Thursday, March 19 to Saturday, March 21, 2026
Since Sunday is already part of the regular weekend in many emirates, most employees will enjoy a four-day break. However, those required to work on Sundays will return on March 22.
Officials also noted that if Ramadan completes 30 days, the private sector holiday may extend to include Sunday, March 22.

If you apply for annual leave from Monday to Thursday, March 16–19, you could enjoy a continuous nine-day break:
