The government of Dubai through its RTA last month unveiled new prices for Salik tolls and parking fees in a bid to streamline traffic and make a commute more convenient. The adjustments that include differences in toll and parking fees will be implemented beginning from early 2025. From November 29, 2024, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will launch three new routes: Route 108, which will connect Satwa Bus Station and Global Village. This addition is one of the strategies, that RTA has implemented to enhance tourism and transport of the Global Village. The RTA in Dubai has successfully placed 141 new bus shelters to improve the public transport in its urban plan to provide 762 bus shelters by 2025. This project is 40% done ,and as mentioned earlier is aimed at enhancing comfort of the users of public transits. New shelters have amenities that allow passengers waiting for the buses to feel more comfortable.
