Nakheel has awarded contracts worth over Dh3.5 billion for the construction of 544 Palm Jebel Ali villas, with construction set to begin this quarter and completion targeted for Q4 2028.

The Contracts and Who Will Build

Two contractors have been appointed for the project. Ginco General Contracting L.L.C will construct 354 villas across Fronds A to D, while United Engineering Construction — known as UNEC — will deliver 190 villas on Fronds E and F.

Construction is scheduled to commence in the current quarter, with all 544 villas targeted for completion in Q4 2028.

What the Villas Will Look Like

The awarded villas form part of a wider collection of 10 architectural typologies. Each design is built to maximise waterfront positioning and sea views, while incorporating smart-home features and sustainability-focused design principles throughout.

Part of a Bigger Dubai Vision

The contract awards align with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which supports Dubai's ambition to become a global leader in premium waterfront living.

Khalid Al Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Real Estate, said Palm Jebel Ali represents one of the most significant expansions of Dubai's urban coastline in a generation and will play a key role in supporting the emirate's long-term growth.

Contractors Respond

Gheyath Mohammad Gheyath, Founder and Chairman of Ginco General Contracting, described the partnership as a testament to the strength of the relationship and pledged to complete the project to the highest standards.

Eng. Abdul Halim Muwahid, Chairman of UNEC, said the project stands as a testament to shared vision and collaboration, adding that the two parties are not just building communities but building tomorrow's legacy today.

About Palm Jebel Ali

Palm Jebel Ali is a man-made palm-shaped island development by Nakheel, a member of Dubai Holding Real Estate. The project originally began construction in 2002 and was revived two years ago after a period of inactivity. It joins Palm Jumeirah as part of Nakheel's wider waterfront portfolio in Dubai.
