The new year starts on 31 August. These dates are for public schools and for private schools that follow the Ministry of Education calendar. If your child's school uses another curriculum, use the dates the school sent you.

Who these dates are for
Public schools, and private schools that follow the Ministry of Education calendar.
British, Indian, IB and other private calendars are set by each school. In Dubai, many of those are KHDA schools with their own dates.
Some private schools that are not on the MoE calendar may take a short mid-term, split between October and February, of no more than five school days. Sharjah private schools follow Sharjah's own calendar.
