Public schools and private schools that follow the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum.
Private schools on alternative curricula (including Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani systems). Those schools follow their own approved calendars. KHDA-licensed Dubai private schools publish their own dates.
Local authorities may let private schools that do not follow the MoE curriculum split the first-semester mid-term between October and February, totalling no more than five school days. Sharjah private schools follow the emirate’s own rules.
