Yas Waterworld is back in the conversation, and this time it comes with a new chapter to its story.

The Abu Dhabi waterpark is expanding with a Lost City zone that continues The Legend of The Lost Pearl. The update introduces new spaces, new rides, and a deeper look into the story that has defined the park for years.

This is the next phase of a theme that has always been part of the experience.

The Story Behind The Lost City

Yas Waterworld has always followed The Legend of The Lost Pearl, a story inspired by Emirati pearl diving culture. It centers on Dana, a young girl searching for a pearl that once supported her village.

The Lost City theme expands that storyline with a new setting tied directly to that journey. The environment, details, and layout all follow the same narrative direction that guests already recognize.

It keeps the focus on the original story while introducing a new part of that world.

What’s New Inside The Expansion

The expansion brings 11 new rides and attractions to Yas Waterworld, raising the total to around 70 experiences in the park.

The new additions include slides, interactive areas, and themed environments designed around the Lost City concept. Guests will find new paths, new visuals, and more to explore throughout the park.

The update also adds more variety to how visitors spend time at Yas Waterworld, with fresh options throughout the new zone.

A Bigger Play For Yas Island

Yas Waterworld remains a key part of Yas Island, one of the UAE’s main entertainment destinations developed by Miral.

The expansion supports ongoing growth across the island, which continues to add new attractions, experiences, and large-scale developments.

Yas Island keeps evolving, and Yas Waterworld continues to play a major role in that direction.

Why People Are Talking About It

Yas Waterworld has always had a clear story behind it, and that has set it apart for years.

This expansion adds a new layer to that story, giving returning visitors something new while keeping the original theme intact.

It also introduces more for first-time guests, with a larger area and more attractions tied to a narrative that runs through the entire park.

The Lost City expansion adds a new chapter to Yas Waterworld, continuing The Legend of The Lost Pearl with 11 new attractions and a new themed zone.

With the expansion set to open in April 2026, Yas Waterworld is once again part of the conversation around what to check out next on Yas Island.
