Dubai: In 2023, the GDRFA Dubai has granted 158,000 people with the golden visa permits. This is a stark-rising from the previous years; according to the available information, the number of golden visas granted was 79, 617 in 2022 and 47, 150 in 2021.

The golden visas used are issued for a long time – up to 10 years – and they are issued to individuals in different categories including the category of outstanding students, and property investor’s category.

Mr Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, director-general of GDRFA Dubai, outlined this growth and describe how it plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) to refine passenger services and forecast passengers’ traffic at airports on Dubai.

Apart from the golden visas issuance, Lt Gen Al Marri relaying the Department updates identified that the process handled 3,518,000 transactions in Q1 this year. The total number of transaction was recorded to be more than nineteen million while more than sixty million passengers used the Dubai ports whether through airlines, ground or marine transport.

These statistics of golden visas’ issuance and the ever-growing number of processed transactions prove the UAE’s attractions, particularly Dubai, for doing business, tourism, and permanent residence for foreigners.
