Luxury jewellery brands are locking in retail space inside Dubai's most famous malls, and the activity is drawing serious attention from the global luxury market. Major international jewellers are opening boutiques across high-profile shopping destinations while mall operators pour billions into expanding their premium retail zones.
Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, and Ibn Battuta Mall have all welcomed new jewellery boutiques from global brands seeking a foothold in the emirate. Fashion Avenue at Dubai Mall already hosts many of the world's most recognizable luxury houses, and new boutiques continue to appear within its luxury retail corridor.
Recent flagship launches from De Beers, Hazoorilal Legacy, and Tanishq highlight how international jewellery companies now view Dubai as one of the most important luxury retail destinations on the planet.
De Beers Opens Flagship Boutique in Dubai Mall
Diamond house De Beers opened a flagship boutique at Dubai Mall in April 2025, in partnership with the Chalhoub Group. The store sits in the Grand Atrium luxury section, surrounded by global fashion houses and premium jewellery labels — one of the most prestigious retail addresses inside the mall.
The boutique takes design cues from De Beers' flagship on London's Old Bond Street and features a bespoke lighting system developed to complement the fire and brilliance of each diamond piece. A private VIP salon allows clients to explore high jewellery collections in a dedicated space.
Fashion Avenue at Dubai Mall remains one of the most visited luxury shopping destinations in the world, and the presence of De Beers reinforces its status as a prime address for global jewellery retail.
Hazoorilal Legacy and Tanishq Open in Dubai Hills and Ibn Battuta
Luxury jewellery retail activity is expanding well beyond Dubai Mall.
Dubai Hills Mall welcomed Hazoorilal Legacy, a fine jewellery brand with a heritage dating to 1952, known for its intricate diamond designs. The boutique marks the brand's first international retail location outside India.
Ibn Battuta Mall gained a new Tanishq boutique spanning over 2,000 square feet — the brand's 18th store in the UAE. The Dubai South location serves as Tanishq's debut in the emerging residential corridor of the city.
Tanishq also operates its largest flagship boutique in Dubai at the Gold Souk Extension in Deira, spanning 5,000 square feet with more than 10,000 jewellery designs on display.
These openings illustrate how international jewellery houses are pursuing multi-location strategies across Dubai's malls and specialist gold districts.
Mall of the Emirates Launches $1.36 Billion Expansion
Dubai's retail sector continues to add significant luxury shopping space.
Mall of the Emirates announced a major transformation programme worth AED 5 billion (approximately $1.36 billion). The expansion adds 20,000 square metres of retail space and 100 new stores, including luxury jewellery and watch brands. Italian jewellery house Vhernier is among the new arrivals, alongside refreshed boutiques from Louis Vuitton and Rolex.
Additional retail developments scheduled across the UAE during 2026 are further introducing new luxury boutique opportunities for jewellery brands looking to deepen their regional presence.
Titan Acquires Damas and Dubai Launches a Gold District
Investment activity signals long-term confidence in Dubai's jewellery sector.
Indian conglomerate Titan Company signed an agreement to acquire a 67% controlling stake in Dubai-based jeweller Damas — a deal valued at AED 1.04 billion (approximately $283 million). Damas operates 146 stores across the GCC, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. The acquisition marks one of the largest cross-border jewellery deals in the Middle East in recent years.
Dubai is also developing the Dubai Gold District in Deira — a purpose-built destination featuring the world's first Gold Street. Developed by Ithra Dubai, the district will host more than 1,000 retailers spanning jewellery, bullion, wholesale, and lifestyle sectors. Anchor tenants include Malabar Gold and Diamonds, Jawhara Jewellery, Tanishq, and Joyalukkas, which plans its largest Middle East flagship there.
Luxury jewellery brands continue to pursue boutique locations in Dubai's leading malls as the emirate cements its reputation as one of the world's top destinations for gold and luxury jewellery retail.
