In a recent meeting held at Nad Al Habi Majlis in Saqr Bin Mohammed City, H. H Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah stated that the concept of tourism and especially the hospitality industry was a significant input stream for providing culture exchange and economical support. The program was launched by “Career Lab”, in cooperation with the Swiss Les Roches University, while being backed by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority; its aim is to help equip young Emirati talent for the task of revitalising the UAE’s vital, but somewhat lacklustre, hospitality industry and, thereby, carve out a new position of industry leadership for the country.

Sheikh Saud appreciated graduates’ efforts and hard work in acquiring knowledge and skills to serve the UAE in enhancing its image as one of the leading worldwide destinations. They urged them to be among the leaders in the tourism and hospitality business for the development of the country’s economy.

The graduates also appreciated the effort made in providing the support of Sheikh Saud in presenting the enhancing of Emiratis’ parts in national achievements. The six months training that was started in January was terminated with giving out of certificate to the 18 graduates from the Swiss University of Les Roches.

There were representatives from the local tourism authority, company executives from sponsors, representatives from the hotel industry, parents, and relatives of graduates to mark this important occasion in the youths’ progression in their careers.
