One of Dubai's most iconic landmarks is set to light up the sky this week with a huge, free fireworks show, bringing UAE–Kuwait Week celebrations to a spectacular close.
The grand finale takes place at Burj Al Arab on Wednesday, February 4, with fireworks scheduled to begin at 9pm. The show is visible from surrounding public areas and there is no ticketed event or entry requirement, making it completely free to watch.
Fireworks at Burj Al Arab
Standing tall on its own island since the 1990s, Burj Al Arab is one of Dubai's most recognisable symbols and a regular backdrop for major celebrations. This week's display will see the landmark illuminated by a large-scale fireworks show as part of festivities marking UAE–Kuwait Week.
There will be no official gathering or hosted event at the hotel itself, so spectators are encouraged to watch from nearby beaches, walkways, and public viewing spots around the Jumeirah area.
Part of a Week-Long Celebration
The Burj Al Arab fireworks are the highlight of a packed week of activities celebrating the strong relationship between the UAE and Kuwait.
Across Dubai, residents and visitors have enjoyed a variety of cultural, artistic, and family-friendly events — including workshops inspired by Kuwaiti heritage, art installations, film screenings of classic Kuwaiti cinema, and food festivals showcasing traditional flavours.
Earlier celebrations included a fireworks display at Dubai Festival City Mall, while Global Village hosted a special Kuwait-themed show during its regular fireworks slot.
More Than Just Fireworks
Beyond entertainment, UAE–Kuwait Week has included initiatives across malls, tourist attractions, and cultural venues. Families and children have taken part in interactive activities, while shoppers encountered themed displays and special promotions.
Dubai's General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) also joined the celebrations by welcoming visitors arriving from Kuwait with a commemorative stamp at Dubai International Airport, adding a symbolic touch to the week's events.
