Dubai is preparing for large-scale changes as the government approves its largest budget in the history of the state. Made known to the public by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai this record budget for 2025- 2027 will allocate Dhs 272 billion to facilities and amenities that shape the quality of life in Dubai.

42 percent, which will go on investments of port infrastructure and road construction, bridges and drainage, as well as on construction of new international airport Al Maktoum, which is named to become the largest in the world. It also entails upgrading and expanding Dubai’s drainage system with a budget of Dhs30 billion since flooding caused threats to the city earlier this year. Further, on Al Khail Road there have been developments in works and the construction of new tunnels and transport links to help address the infamous Dubai traffic during rush hours.
Other than spending its budget on infrastructure, the Dubai’s budget also makes provisions for giving a boost to the community services. Minority 30 percent which entails amount for health, education, housing and youth project will be used to directly enhance the lives of the residents. For the first time, the budget will work in thirteen billion representing twenty one percent of the annual expected revenues of three hundred and two billion dirhams in the next two years to achieve the principle of financial sustainability.
He also pointed to the emirate’s most recent Dhs40 billion PPP package that has been established to spur innovation, research, and governmental performance. This projected budget can be deemed as a milestone of the future sustainable growth in Dubai while supporting the concept of creating prosperity.
