The event plays into the value of athletes of all abilities, gives the athletes an opportunity to gain experience and points for Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Awards, which fosters exchange of cultures of idea of one nation. Speaking at the press conference held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Abu Dhabi officials such as Saud Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Aref Hamad Al Awani and Yaqoub Al Saadi informed the participants of this year’s event about the UAE’s role in promoting jiu-jitsu.

Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohamed Alhashmi, the Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation used the opportunity to appreciate the efforts of the UAE in supporting sports. He said “This record-breaking championship gathers the world’s TOP jiu-jitsu athletes in Abu Dhabi – a city that has become the Jiu-Jitsu capital of the world,” He thanked the sponsors for contribution that the city of Abu Dhabi can continue to retain its position in being one of the leading cities for sports.
