While it will still be some time until the Etihad Rail passenger train hits the tracks,. the company recently unveiled some of the luxurious features of the train in a bid to preview the business class seating of the train. Reported through the official company’s social media, the preview offers a glimpse of those luxurious compartments that might revolutionize travel across the Emirates.
Specification of the Business Class
The business class cabin shown on the video is equipped with eight luxurious seats wrapped in cream-colored leather and structured in two rows of fourSeats. The designing looks more like the business class of airplanes providing comfort which is way above that of normal sitting in the train. However, Etihad Rail clarified that the seating featured is a mock one and can be altered before its actual launch.
Transit by Rail Throughout the UAE
The new passenger network by Etihad Rail will span over 1153km of railway and link 11 cities in seven emirates starting with Al Sila and ending with Fujairah as of now. As for now, by cutting down the travel time to or from one city to another, like from Abu Dhabi to Dubai – 50 minutes, or from Dubai to Fujairah – 50 minutes at most, the train is likely to revolutionize transportation in UAE. With travel durations reduced by a third to half of the current transport means, the service is expected to provide efficient access to traffic and encourage green mobility.
Route Highlights
Other stations that the construction of the rail network will cover include Al Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Sharjah, Al Dhaid, Abu Dhabi among others. The integration of transit throughout the Emirates can give not only some convenience but also improve the transport connection for citizens and guests.
Awaiting the Official Launch
And although, the date of the passenger service launch is still unknown, the media attention to such royal business class offerings only increases people’s excitement.
