The Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project which is being implemented by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) shows that phase 4 is now 71% complete. It proposed to begin from Sheikh Rashid Road starting from Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street up to Falcon Interchange on Al Mina Street intending to ease traffic congestion occasioned by the increasing population in the city.
Tentative Achievements and Improvements
The last phase of the project is worth 4.8 kilometers with three bridges that will be 3.1 kilometers in total. These structures collectively accommodate 19,400 vehicles per hour:
- First Bridge: A 1,335-meter facility for travelling from Sheikh Rashid Road to Falcon Interchange for a passenger capacity of 10,800 vehicles per hour.
- Second Bridge: A connection of FTBL that is 780 meters between Falcon Interchange and Al Wasl Road with a traffic capacity of 5,400 automobiles per hour.
- Third Bridge: A bridge measuring 985 meters in length across Jumeirah Street to Al Mina Street to accommodate a traffic density of 3,200 vehicles per hour.
The pedestrian bridges and other bridges, as well as intersections, advanced traffic system and rain water drainages form part of the project.
Traffic and Time Saving Advantages
Once done, the time to travel through this corridor shall take a mere 16 minutes by 2030 from 104 minutes at the moment impoverishing the region of about AED45 billion in the next twenty years. The move is hoped to help a million residents in areas including Deira, Bur Dubai, and Dubai Islands.
Phase 4: Bridging Key Locations
The RTA recently inaugurated a three lane bridge that links Sheikh Rashid Road to the complex of the Infinity Bridge. Another bridge connecting Al Mina Intersection to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street will be completed during the first quarter of 2025. Other fabrication include the infinity bridge with six lane of each way and an arch of 42 meters high in the shape of infinity symbol.

The Falcon Interchange project consist of two bridges at two Tier Each bridge has total number of six lane and each has capacity of 24 thousand vehicle per hour. It also includes subways and bridge connections to improve the integration of Al Khaleej, Al Ghubaiba and Khalid bin Al Waleed Streets.
