The tournament which enjoyed patronage from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai established itself as a landmark for women’s tennis competition.

The WTA 1000 tournament attracted 36 of tennis’ elite 40 competitors to create an international spotlight on Dubai’s elite tennis venue. Andreeva defeated Clara Tauson (7-6, 6-1) in a dramatic final showdown to secure the women’s singles championship title through her outstanding ability and unwavering dedication.
Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend as top seeds won the doubles final match against Jelena Ostapenko and Hsieh Su-wei with scores of 7-6 and 6-4 to emerge champions.
