4 Major Changes Coming to Dubai in April 2025

  • Nad Al Sheba Mall will become the main social center in the district because it includes rooftop gym facilities along with swimming pools and padel courts and various dining and shopping options.

Residents alongside visitors of Dubai need to be aware about fundamental changes which the city is set to experience during April 2025. This upcoming month in April 2025 brings exciting changes including brand-new businesses and fee structures as well as station remap and big holiday festivities.

1. Nad Al Sheba Mall Opens
Nad Al Sheba Mall will launch its doors to the public at its 500,000-square-foot recreational and commercial complex in April 2025. The 500,000 sq ft mall offers shopping and dining services from 100 different retail and fitness and healthcare and F&B and entertainment outlets. The facility will benefit the residents living in Meydan and Dubai Silicon Oasis and Majan.

Nad Al Sheba Mall will become the main social center in the district because it includes rooftop gym facilities along with swimming pools and padel courts and various dining and shopping options.

2. Parking Fee Adjustments Begin April 4
From Friday April 4 2025 Dubai’s Parkin will implement a new system of charging variable rates for parking.

Premium parking in the vicinity of transport hubs and business centers will rise to Dhs6 per hour starting April 4.

The standard parking fees will continue to cost Dhs4 throughout each hour of usage.

The planned changes were shifted from March to a period following Eid Al-Fitr.

The official Parkin website contains complete information about event-based parking fees together with multi-storey car park guidance.

3. Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station Signage Update
The Dubai Metro Station known as Al Khail has now adopted the name Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station. The signage transition from Al Khail Metro Station to Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station will start in April and finishing by June throughout all Dubai Metro stations.

The new station name will be displayed through digital systems and platform applications and onboard station announcements.

4. Eid Al-Fitr Long Weekend
The first month of April welcomes Eid Al-Fitr holiday that extends across multiple public days.

According to the duration of Ramadan the holiday will span from Sunday March 30 to Tuesday April 1 in the case of a 29-day Ramadan.

Under a 30-day length of Ramadan the holiday period stretches until Wednesday April 2.
