The Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC) brought a fruitful showcase to an end at GISEC Global 2025 during the period from May 6 to 8, by launching a number of high-tech cybersecurity initiatives to strengthen Dubai’s digital resilience and prepare for technology-related challenges of the future.
As a government cybersecurity partner for the last eight consecutive years, DESC utilized its platform at GISEC to emphasize the company’s commitment to secure digital transformation. The Centre’s focus on three major pillars remains on the strategy: strengthening digital infrastructure, training national cyber还tielizi,并推动国际合作。
Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, CEO of DESC, highlighted increasing leadership by the emirate in the domain of digital security. “If our projects and partnerships are an expression of Dubai’s vision to turn into a global hub of innovation and cybersecurity. “The human capital that is being developed nationally we are creating safe, sustainable digital systems,” he added.
Of the critical launches, were the Zero Trust Assessment Tool and Guideline to promote digital infrastructure security by continuous identity verification and access management.
The Centre also launched Ethaq Plus, an innovative trust platform in digital form capable of facilitating secure transactions between entities based on trusted digital certificates and therefore bestowing authenticity in the data flow across services.
Pivoting forward, DESC has launched its Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Guideline as a preventive measure to safeguard Dubai’s digital future against possibles imminent attack of quantum computing technologies.
To increase local expertise, a program called ISR Officer Certification Program was initiated for government employees while a new MoU with Moro Hub will offer improved cybersecurity reviews to Dubai’s government.
In the talent development, DESC honored the fifth cohort of the Cybersecurity Leadership Program and deployed the Dubai Cyber Challenge while Digital Dubai topped first place. The School of Cyber Defense Championship also ended with Al Ain University winning the best prize among 300 student applicants.
Such initiatives constitute a major step made towards a secure and creative digital.
