AI Set to Transform Bollywood as Abu Dhabi’s G42 Brings Cutting-Edge Tech to Film Production

India’s film industry is ready to cosy up to the high technology trend as G42, a tech giant from Abu Dhabi has unveiled the use of artificial intelligence technology aimed at relaunch of Indian Bollywood film industry. .jump to: G42, the company behind the world’s largest AI supercomputer, Condor Galaxy and the first open-source Arabic language model, Jais is now looking to the Bollywood to boost its creative and production powers.

The platform being offered by G42 has some of the most extensive usage of AI applications across various production processes which include dubbing and the replication of voices, help with scriptwriting, and efficient workflow planning. “The firm recently discussed a project with a big production company that wanted AI voices of stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar in regional languages of Tamil and Telugu,” Jain added. This would potentially enable Bollywood to produce content by not only retaining the original voice quality but also make it available to the multilingual audience.

I Further, G42’s AI can assist with scheduling and other production jobs and scriptwriting, for example. We have new versions or upgrades coming soon, such as G42’s Hindi LLM Nanda, and it will serve Bollywood with even more specialized AI uses. Nanda’s capabilities rest upon partnership within Indian organisations such as IIT Chennai, AI4Bharat where the model itself is being further localized for Indian languages and situations.

This shift aligns with similar trends worldwide, and Hollywood studios that might consider adopting AI for data analytics and story building. While some, like filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, are already employing AI for music in his movies, others in the same employment are being careful, arguing that AI lacks the human feeling factor in creative work.

Having recently established a local team in India, G42 is ready to revolutionise the Bollywood and contribute to the industry’s desire for more efficient, accessible and scalable film making with the help of AI.
