The Third International Conference of the Emirates Rare Diseases Society took place in Dubai where participants focused on how artificial intelligence (AI) supports diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases. The event successfully gathered more than 300 medical professionals together with researchers and patients as it was organized by the Ministry of Health and Prevention alongside the Dubai Health Authority.
The Al Jalila Hospital leader Dr. Abdullah Al Khayyat started the event by discussing the problems of rare conditions that appear early in life and create lasting disabilities for the patients. Through his presentation he explained how AI brings transformation to medical diagnosis and treatment while enhancing precision and accelerating medical research activities.
Dr. Iman Taryam Al Shamsi presented the conference plan which included 28 sessions and specialized workshops delivered by leading medical professionals. The meetings explored advanced treatment methods and early warning signs of uncommon diseases and their associated social as well as psychological effects. Components of the last day featured a direct interface between specialists and patients with their families to discuss problems students faced daily and brainstorm solutions.
Emirates Rare Diseases Society tesified its resolve to care for patients while raising awareness under the direction of Nafisa Tawfiq. An exhibition during the conference displayed innovative pharmaceutical products which originated from 13 worldwide businesses.
The conference demonstrated Dubai’s commitment to leading medical development through AI healthcare while improving the life quality of people affected by rare diseases.
