Recently, Dubai Press Club (DPC) organised a workshop ‘Generation AI and its Application in Media’ which brought together media professionals to master the latest AI tools to usher in progress in digital storytelling and content creation.
The session was held in partnership with Dubai Future Academy, and part of a joint initiative between Dubai Future Academy and the Dubai Future Foundation, and hosted by Dr Mohammed Qasem, Dean of Dubai Future Academy and Board Member of Digital School.
Hands-On AI Training for Media Professionals
Participants get practical experience through the three hours interactive session of creating text, images, video and interactive content from AI. Generative AI leveraged to tell high quality compelling story and the role generative AI plays in media industry was introduced to the journalists and the content creators.
Acting Director of Dubai Press Club, Maryam Al Mulla said that DPC remains committed to raising media skills in the digital era. “We are committed to giving journalists this necessary media tool and [are] empowering journalists with the expertise to take advantage of all that AI can do.”
Dr. Qasem discussed how to use AI responsibly,GIearning attendees how to use AI’s benefits but also bringing up its possible shortcomings. According to him: “With this workshop, media professionals gain access to the latest skills with which to produce AI-driven content creation stories that match current industry demands.”

Dubai Future Academy’s partnership with DPC’s Media Talent Development Specialist Mahfoudha Abdullah Saleh was applauded by the club as it continued to work with top institutions to equip their staff with the best media expertise available.
The workshop is a part of a cycle of specialized programs aiming to give journalists more advanced skills in AI and digital. DPC is right at the forefront of preparing media professionals for the future of journalism as AI renews the media landscape.
