What To Know

  • CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a statement said that the growth has been fast and pointed out that Meta’s AI tools are yet to be fully launched in strategic markets including the UK, Brazil or EU.
  • Still, it emerged as the pioneer of AI development and has been accused of a comparatively less AI deployment and some missteps occasionally.
  • The search giant has recently rolled out is Gemini chat across all its products and made its AI image generator accessible to the premium and business users, it has also faced critique over the veracity of the images the program produces.

The competition in the artificial intelligence field is getting stiffer as two tech giants, OpenAI and Meta reveal increased performances in their AI tools. Active monthly users of the OpenAI’s chatbot it developed and deploying under the name ChatGPT have also risen to 200 million, up from November figures. In an earlier interview with the company’s CEO, Sam Altman noted that 92 percent of Fortune 500 firms are now clients of the company. Similarly, this brings a sharp increase in adoption to help offset blasted concerns by pundits concerning slow revenue business from the AI technologies as they are highly expensive to operate.

Similarly, Facebook’s parent company Meta has revealed a massive uplift in usage of its AI solutions with 400 MN monthly active users and 185 MN weekly active users. CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a statement said that the growth has been fast and pointed out that Meta’s AI tools are yet to be fully launched in strategic markets including the UK, Brazil or EU. A recent update to Meta’s Llama model that competes with ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini has received a boost in usage between May and July.

Microsoft, that integrated OpenAI’s knowledge into its tool set, also noted a spike in demand for its Copilot chatbot. The company said while its business customers have doubled their usage of Copilot within the last three months, users have generated more than 12 billion images and had 13 billion chats.

Still, it emerged as the pioneer of AI development and has been accused of a comparatively less AI deployment and some missteps occasionally. The search giant has recently rolled out is Gemini chat across all its products and made its AI image generator accessible to the premium and business users, it has also faced critique over the veracity of the images the program produces.

When analyzing these reports, it is possible to notice an intense rivalry between IT titans and the growing usage of generative AI technologies.
