The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has officially launched its AI-powered Human Resources Assistant, a pioneering step in the UAE’s ongoing digital transformation journey. This initiative highlights the nation’s commitment to harnessing artificial intelligence across government operations, reinforcing its position as a global leader in future-ready governance.
The AI HR Assistant will directly serve over 50,000 federal government employees, revolutionizing the way HR services are delivered. Designed with cutting-edge AI Agents technology, the system not only simplifies employee interactions but also ensures faster, more accurate, and highly personalized support.
Comprehensive Coverage: In its initial rollout, the assistant offers 108 HR services, ranging from leave requests to legal inquiries.
High Automation: About 80% of self-service HR procedures are now automated, significantly reducing manual intervention.
Instant Support: The system responds instantly to 80% of inquiries related to HR legislation, ensuring employees no longer face delays in accessing information.
Time Savings: FAHR estimates the new tool will save 170,000 working hours annually, freeing HR professionals to focus on strategy and employee engagement.
The assistant is powered by AI Agents, an advanced platform capable of processing procedures, completing tasks, and responding to questions without human involvement. It draws on the Bayanati federal HR information system, providing real-time insights and personalized answers in both Arabic and English.
Employees can access the tool 24/7 through the FAHR website (www.fahr.gov.ae) and the FAHR smart app, ensuring flexibility and accessibility regardless of location.
Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future and Chairwoman of FAHR, described the launch as a landmark achievement in line with the UAE’s leadership directives.
“The AI-powered HR Assistant reflects our vision to deliver future-ready services that are efficient, innovative, and personalized. By embedding AI into government systems, we are creating a workplace ecosystem that enhances employee satisfaction and drives productivity,” she said.
She emphasized that the UAE government is committed to continuous innovation, ensuring that new technological models keep evolving to meet the dynamic needs of the workforce.
The initiative also supports the UAE’s broader strategy to embed AI into every sector, aligning with the country’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031. By setting global benchmarks in digital HR management, the UAE aims to inspire governments worldwide to rethink how public sector services are delivered.
Industry experts note that the AI-powered HR Assistant could serve as a blueprint for other nations, showcasing how technology can be used not just for efficiency but also for employee well-being and empowerment.
As the system matures, FAHR is expected to expand its capabilities, potentially integrating predictive analytics to anticipate workforce needs, offering career development recommendations, and even supporting well-being initiatives.
With this launch, the UAE reinforces its reputation as a trailblazer in AI-driven governance, taking yet another step toward a smarter, faster, and more human-centered government system.
