Dubai Future Academy Introduces Groundbreaking “FEEL: A Disruptive Futures Program”

Dubai Future Academy, an initiative of Dubai Future Foundation, has announced the launch of “FEEL: An International program called Disruptive Futures Programme which is the first ever Disruptive Futures programme in the region. According to the vision and objective of this program, the primary strategy is to develop future leaders of foresight from diverse fields improving their thinking abilities and practical skills. Moreover, it encompasses expert lectures, realistic demonstration of future technologies and related advanced projects that have to be sustainable and long-lasting, ensuring standing of Dubai as the city that attract the best minds globally.

This innovative, international training plan occurs over four weeks and can serve as a model for Dubai’s plan to develop people so they are ready to lead the future, ready and willing to be proactive, and ready to look forward. Analyzing different strategies and their application from the ground up with the help of participants, beginning in Dubai, which is considered to be the global capital in foresight, design, and implementation. It is meant to create the next generation of strategic thinkers who amongst other things possess the skills in Futures and Foresight thinking, Differentiated Thinking and Leadership and Aging.

The participants will actually be taken through experiential learning through field visits to innovation precincts within Dubai such as, Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre, Dubai Police Innovation Center, Dubai Future Labs, and Roads and Transport Authority. Such trips will help and let the participants watch innovation in the making, watch robots being made, ride and feel the presence of self-driving cars and boats. They will also have a chance to learn about phenomenal technologies, for example, glass that can store data for 10,000 years, ‘liquid tree’ which on the contrary to regular trees absorbs C02 and produces oxygen, ‘WakeCap’ workforce security provision, innovative rocket motors, and cultured meat and lab-grown food.

HE Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, emphasized that “FEEL: “A Disruptive Futures Program,” recruiting participants from different disciplines, so that after going through this program, they are armed with the newest knowledge related to the studies of the future, leadership, and disruption. The program is in synergy with Dubai’s approach for building preparedness for the future via the search for opportunities, experimentation, innovation and sustainable development and international cooperation.

The program will be led and taught by the world’s best faculty from reputed universities like Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Yale University, and Stanford University during the four weeks. Registrations to the contest remain active till the 5th of September, 2024 and the certificates will be issued during the third forum of the Dubai future.
