Dubai Media Council Opens Registration for ‘Mohammed Bin Rashid Scholarship for Emirati Media Students’

  • Speaking to Al Marri said that one of the most important missions of the Council is the promotion of the new generation of highly qualified Emirati media professionals, and the support of young talents to become leaders of media in the country.

As per the current directives of H. H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, the Council has said that registration for the second edition of the ‘Mohammed Bin Rashid Scholarship for Emirati Media Students’ has started.

As per the goals and visions of the Dubai Media Council for fostering the young and Emirati media talent this scholarship is will to improve the proficiency of the Emirati players in the media industry. It also serves to support the leadership’s focus to develop and sustain improvements in the part and role of national talent in key sectors.

As an exemplary of the scholarship, the Honourable Mention aspirational scholarships aims to provide full scholarship for the admission of eligible Emirati media talents to the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication at the American University in Dubai, were they have a chance to unveil promising careers upon graduation.

Mona Al Marri, passed on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum – UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, and the directives of H. H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Speaking to Al Marri said that one of the most important missions of the Council is the promotion of the new generation of highly qualified Emirati media professionals, and the support of young talents to become leaders of media in the country.

Al Marri stressed the need to innovate in the achieving goals in applying new advances in media technology in order to develop content and increase the extent of influence. She said that increasing the academic performance and adding such areas of staff professional development as new professional trainings will provide young media talent with the possibility to contribute to the development of the mentioned sector.
