Abu Dhabi to Build Second Sphere Entertainment Venue, Following Las Vegas

However, the latest plan of creating a huge spherical entertainment centre resembles the famous Sphere in Las Vegas will be next in Abu Dhabi. This development supports the UAE capital’s Tourism Strategy 2030 to turn Abu Dhabi into a premier global cultural and innovative tourism destination. The film was unveiled by Sphere Entertainment Co and Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism.

H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak’, chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, said that accepting innovative forms of entertainment such as the Sphere strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as an international city and raises its cultural level.

The Las Vegas Sphere opening in 2023 with a capacity of 20000, houses the worlds highest definition wraparound LED screens and exterior LED display. Despite some of the key basic information such as the location of the project, the cost, and time of completion of the Abu Dhabi Sphere have not been revealed the project aims to extend the construction of similar future like structures all over the world .

When Sphere Entertainment’s CEO James L. Dolan announced the new venue, he said it would help the company further augment its mission to provide integrated entertainment solutions globally.
