Netflix is breaking new ground by offering its upcoming game Squid Game: Available now: Unleashed for all, members and non-members alike – free for 14 days only. That came during The Game Awards held in Los Angeles a few hours before the official release of the game that is set for December 17. Like all Netflix Games, Squid Game: Unleashed will not contain advertisements or any products requiring purchase within the applications so as not to distract the user.
“Squid Game is Netflix biggest series launch ever,” announced Alain Tascan, President of Netflix Games. “We’re glad to let the whole world join the chaos this holiday season with Unleashed, bringing to life well known challenges such as Glass Bridge and Red Light Green Light in an intense multiplayer experience.”
The game provides action-packed missions and aggressive confrontation between characters: participants have to defeat enemies using techniques based on the show and children’s television games. Currently serving as a party royale, it permits the participants to have some fun playing with or against friends online.
Fans also got a first look at Squid Game Season 2 during The Game Awards and was announced to air on December 26. Pink Guards and another black-suit guard appeared and hinted at the Squid Game’s continuation and fan’s anticipation for the show.
Expanding Netflix Games
Netflix also plans for 2025 another game by the iconic game maker Yu Suzuki called Steel Paws. This addition highlights Netflix’s growing collection of exclusive titles, including GTA: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition and Monument Valley 3 were released on December 10.
