The largest design festival in the region, Dubai Design Week, will take place for its tenth edition from 5-10 Nov 2024 which is under the utmost support of H. H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture. Dubai-based event in collaboration with Dubai Design District (d3) and supported by Dubai Culture will also have a comprehensive line up of exhibitions and commissions and events that will highlight the progress of design in the UAE and GCC where interiors and furniture sectors alone are worth US$ 26 billion.
The annual show will feature the platform for more than 500 designers and brands from over 40 countries with the concept of showcasing local and foreign performers with the help of staging. The event will also introduce ‘Editions’ a new program that has been designed to preview the city’s creative economy in the future.
Khadija Al Bastaki, SVP of d3 highlighted how Dubai Design Week plays a part not only for the boost of the creative economy but also in the established multicultural identity in the region. Natasha Carella, Director of the event, stressed that this year’s event will focus on sustainable architecture and architecture of the regions, Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, the CEO of Arts and Literature Sector at Dubai Culture noted that this event proved that Dubai, being a UNESCO Creative city of Design was committed to innovation and creativity.
It focuses on solving the contemporary issues by means of innovation and helps to strengthen the position of Dubai as an international centre of design and creativity.
