Marking another step forward with regard to sustainability and green innovation, the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) 2025 will be held in Dubai on October 1 and 2, uniting international community leaders at the World Trade Centre. Being organised with the co-ordination of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO), the 11 th edition of WGES will revolve around the theme: Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy.
By involving leading practitioners, global innovators, government officials, and experts on climate change, WGES 2025 will be able to hasten the process of the global transition to a sustainable green economy, paying close attention to the issues of developing regions as well as to international cooperation, as well as to the interactions between the state and businesses.
The summit will be composed with the following seven strategic pillars:
Technology & Innovation- Emphasizing the relevance of AI, Internet of things, and smart systems to achieve climate resilience, predictive analytics, and implementation of green technologies.
Clean & Renewable Energy – Probing ways of achieving the objective such as green hydrogen, peaceful nuclear energy, and energy storage to fulfill the growing international energy needs.
Policy & Regulation- An analysis of the changes in the climate policy, the mechanisms of the carbon market, and the dynamics of the regulation development at the key economies.
Finance: How do we finance climate, expand renewable project, and future of carbon credit.
Climate Equity – As a solution to climate change, it is critical to focus on protecting vulnerable communities by providing their fair access to such resources as food, water, and clean air using such innovations as agrivoltaics and AI-based agriculture.
Adaptation & Resilience – Discussing the ways to deal with the climate effects, such as nature-based recovery and early warning mechanisms as well as measures of resilience.
Youth in Climate Action- A venture on environmental entrepreneurship, citizen movements, and sustainable capitalism in young people.
The WGES 2025 is set to initiate a global climate action milestone.
