‘Economic Content Creators’ Programme Kicks Off Dubai Content Creators Initiative

The first week of the ‘Economic Content Creators’ programme conducted under the umbrella of the Dubai Content Creators Initiative has been a successful one, teaching the content creators all the instruments and the tactics they might need in order to make the truly economic topics as popular as possible. The programme developed by the Dubai Press Club in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Economy aims at strengthening the capabilities of the relevant creators with the purpose of expanding the coverage of the economic topics both in terms of geography and influence.

Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club Maryam Al-Mulla noted that this training does not only serve personal development but also the development of economic media in the future. She said this is going to help strengthening the position of Dubai as the media city and to the improvement needful content, which will help the communities to make correct financial decisions.

The programme consists of lectures and practical sessions by leaders in the field of economics and academics and deals with such topics as contemporary economic issues and trends, fiscal and monetary policies, and the role of central banks in modern world financial systems.

In the first week, one of the most remarkable sessions wasImplementations of Artificial Intelligence Technologies for the Visual ContentIndustry with Dr. Mohamed Abdelzaher summarizing how AI can be used to generate visual content including videos and graphics. Also, at Murdoch University Dubai, an economic session entitled ‘Basic Economic Principles’ was conducted, which included subtopics, including scarcity and decision making, cost of opportunity, and market and demand supply.

Participants also got a) a brief on the use of Blin.x to engage in good storytelling of the economics; b) tips on how to use social media to share economic content with a wider audience. A special workshop on ‘From Numbers to Impact’ conducted by media specialist Mohamed Zamzami was a special session that explained the best practices for converting economic topics into vivid stories that would interest the audience.
