Italian Fashion Takes the Spotlight at Dubai Fashion Week 2024

Italian fashion excellence is poised to take center stage at the upcoming Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), with the debut of “La Moda Italiana: Dubai Edition. ” This much-discussed event will be one of the great attractions in DFW Spring/Summer 2025 taking place from September 1st to September 7th. The fashion event is organised jointly by Dubai Design District (d3) and the Arab Fashion Council and is therefore DFW.

Organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in collaboration with DFW, “La Moda Italiana: Sculptures: “Lost Paradise – Dubai Edition” is the first time that the exhibition takes place in UAE. Those interested in fashion will not want to miss this event which will take place at d3, which is within TECOM Group PJSC from the 1st to the 3rd of September. This event confirms the increase of the role of Italy as a supplier of fashion products in the UAE market.

It will be a purely Italian affair with 25 of the country’s most renowned brands presenting a range of categories of the fashion industry, such as apparel, footwear, leather goods, and eyewear. All the brands are chosen by the ITA and each of them represents the Italian industry, high quality. On the schedule is the big DFW calendar, encompassing designer’s runway shows and selected city events accompanied by the Guest of Honour – Italian legendary luxury brand Roberto Cavalli.

According to ITA and DFW, the cooperation represents the historical and commercial relations of both Italy and UAE. Specifically, through the Spring Summer 2025 edition DFW wants to introduce Italian brands and to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global fashion capital and a key hub to exploit new business opportunities and create strategic connections.

His Excellency Lorenzo Fanara, the Ambassador of Italy to UAE highlighted on the Italian fashion prowess saying that the exportation of Italian fashion products to the UAE was valued at €838 million in 2023. Valerio Soldani, the Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, stated that he is looking forward to the first ever Italian Fashion Showcase at DFW , which is an added advantage in promoting the “Made in Italy “ product basket in the UAE.
