Italian fashion excellence is set to take center stage at Dubai Fashion Week 2024 with the debut of "La Moda Italiana: Dubai Edition." The inaugural exhibition is one of the headline attractions of DFW Spring/Summer 2025, which runs from September 1 to 7 at Dubai Design District (d3). The event is jointly organised by d3 and the Arab Fashion Council.
La Moda Italiana: Dubai Edition — Italy's First UAE Fashion Showcase
Organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in collaboration with Dubai Fashion Week, "La Moda Italiana: Sculptures — Lost Paradise — Dubai Edition" marks the first time the exhibition has taken place in the UAE. The three-day showcase runs from September 1 to 3 at d3, located within TECOM Group PJSC.
The exhibition cements Italy's growing role as a premier supplier of fashion products to the UAE market and gives Dubai audiences direct access to some of the country's most respected names in style.
25 Italian Brands Across Apparel, Footwear, Leather Goods and Eyewear
The showcase is a purely Italian affair: 25 of the country's most renowned brands will present across key fashion categories — apparel, footwear, leather goods, and eyewear. Every participating label has been hand-selected by the ITA to represent Italian craftsmanship and high quality at their best.
The broader DFW calendar surrounds the exhibition with designer runway shows and curated city events, with Italian luxury house Roberto Cavalli serving as Guest of Honour for the Spring/Summer 2025 edition — marking the brand's first runway presentation in the Middle East.
Italy and UAE: A Billion-Euro Fashion Partnership
The ITA–DFW collaboration reflects the historic and commercial ties between Italy and the UAE. The Spring/Summer 2025 edition is designed to introduce Italian brands to new audiences and to strengthen Dubai's position as a global fashion capital and a strategic hub for international business connections.
His Excellency Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE, highlighted Italy's fashion strength, noting that Italian fashion exports to the UAE were valued at €838 million in 2023. Valerio Soldani, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, expressed enthusiasm for the inaugural Italian Fashion Showcase at DFW, calling it a significant step in promoting the "Made in Italy" product basket across the Emirates.
