The Dubai Stand Up Paddle event also came back to the beautiful Hatta Dam where this year the number of participants reached 2330, up from 1000 last year. Co-hosted by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), this event has turned into one of the major activities of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) The Internal 50KM Cycle event proves that Dubai is committed to wellness and fitness.
Promising fun for every skill and age level, the day featured exercise showcases, professional instructors, prone paddling, and npc training, plus new this year, a free kayak test paddling demo. The event ended with a lovely yoga session in the evening effected by a nice beautiful sun set back ground of Hatta.
The event is looking at growth in the right direction according to His Excellency Saeed Hareb, the Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council with the community focusing on sports and fitness. According to Ahmed Al Khaja, the CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the occasion supports the formation of a culture for inclusion and well-being.
This year’s edition added extra features such as participation in the Hatta Kayak sessions which are also familiar. The separate challenge sessions of SUP let the participants practice the trick and have more fun during the cooler climate in Hatta water. The last but not the least are the participants who got to a chance to enjoy the sunset yoga in the middle of the mountains with nature friendly touch at farm.
Other activities that attendees could partake in include spear throwing, archery, wall climbing, and the Hatta Aerial Adventure Park which made the clients have a full-packed adventure day. Truck provided food to the visitors to satisfy their hunger and available options for tent and accommodations make Hatta ideal place for a weekend trip.
