Abha International Airport Becomes Saudi Arabia’s First Silent Airport

The Abha International Airport has joined the league of other silent airports in the world and therefore becomes the first ever silent airport in Saudi Arabia where travelers are provided a quiet resting place. Optimising the Travel Experience is based on this recent global concept which is aimed at reducing the fatigue of continual interruptions of calls concerning take-off, boarding, and final announcements.

Global Inspiration for Silence

Other international airports that pioneered silence in their terminals are Singapore Changi, Zurich, Dubai, Amsterdam, and London CIty and now the new joiner is Abha International Airport. This decision seems as a change in direction towards making the environment less disturbing and enabling passengers have a quiet time.

The following are the guiding factors when drawing the passengers through the Flight Display Screens:

In an effort to remove the aged method of sounding announcements through the loudspeaker, professional flight display screens converting the sleek will steer passengers from one step to another. There are approaches that the airport management has taken and used in an effort to pass information to the travelers concerning the silent airport concept. Bilingual or multicolor notices and electronic signs with general and often important information will be installed to inform the passengers and allow them to move with ease within the airport.

This notification and bulletin board is restricted for those critical and tense moments only.

Although the airport goes extreme in maintaining silence, it will likely adopt this voice call system for conveying such important messages as cancellation or delay of flights. This helps to pass key messages when a Freeman is communicating with another without interrupting the general peacefulness of the terminal.

Enhancing the Travel Experience

Currently, most airports across the globe are implementing silent airport policy and this mainly concerns the areas of terminals. Thus, reducing noise pollution, these airports enable passengers to pay attention to such important updates and improve the quality of the journey. The shift of Abha International Airport to a silent airport will soon become the new trend amongst the airports in the region as it introduces a stress-free travel free from disturbing noises.

This is an instance of Abha International Airport’s action which shows that airports are turning into more calm and passengers conscience. Hence, with this silent airport proposition, the travellers can now be in anticipation of beautiful and serene corridors of Abha.
