du has now officially set a new Guinness World Record™ for the longest promoted TikTok livestream, having finished an uninterrupted 30+ hour broadcast that travelled through all seven Emirates – based on du’s superior 5G network. The livestream had 12 content creators passing on a single phone from one Emirate to another Emirate, illustrating effortless connectivity without lag, drops and limits.
The ground-breaking campaign created in partnership with creative agency TBWA\RAAD was not only digital masterpiece but a boast of du’s unstoppable network, with no safety nets and back up systems, taking on the challenge. From Abu Dhabi to Fujairah, the creators took along the fans on a wild ride from feeding elephants, sky-high adventures, along with non-stop posting.
Du’s 5G coverage speed, reach, and reliability all were the occasions for the initiative launching. With the real-life pressure and under a national lens, du’s performance was perfect all along the way. From serving breakfast with the elephants to broadcasting straight from miles high over the ground, the event showed that the du’s 5G can handle just about anything — 48 hours straight.
“One phone. 12 creators. 7 Emirates. That’s the power of our unstoppable network,” du posted on LinkedIn, in celebration of the success of the campaign. The livestream was met with an enormous response online, where the fans praised both content and how smoothly the live-stream had taken place.
