du has officially set a new Guinness World Record™ for the longest promoted TikTok livestream — an uninterrupted 48-hour broadcast that travelled through all seven UAE Emirates, powered entirely by du's 5G network. No backup systems, no fixed lines, no second phone.

The ground-breaking campaign, created in partnership with creative agency TBWA\RAAD and TikTok LIVE MENA, saw 12 content creators pass a single smartphone from Emirate to Emirate across a two-day road trip from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah. The broadcast ran without lag, drops, or interruptions for the full 48 hours — April 11 to 13, 2025.
From serving breakfast alongside elephants to broadcasting live from thousands of feet in the air, the creators put du's network through every conceivable test. Activities included kayaking in Abu Dhabi, ziplining in Ras Al Khaimah, sky-high aerial footage, and non-stop posting throughout — all streamed in real time to audiences across the UAE and beyond.

The initiative was designed specifically to stress-test du's 5G coverage, speed, and reliability under real-world conditions and national attention. Operating without safety nets or backup systems, du's network performed without a single visible failure throughout the entire record-breaking run.
