Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum released a gripping video through his Instagram where he performed a base jump from the Burj Khalifa to the awe of his 16.8 million followers. A video presents 31 athletes representing 15 nations during their participation in the dangerous event EXIT139 where jumpers used a specially designed 12-meter exit platform on the tallest building in the world.
Within the first hour the post collected nearly 1 million views with its caption reading “Exit 139 | 437 Jumps | 31 Athletes | 15 Nationalities #XDubai.” The event required joint efforts from Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism and Emaar together with Skydive Dubai to showcase how Dubai serves as an international leader for extreme sports and adventure tourism.
